IT'S ALWAYS YELLOW JACKET, WASP and BEE TIME!!!
When yellow jackets and other nasty bugs become particularly mean and many Bostonians (as well as Boxers and other short snouted dogs) are often very badly affected by a sting. If your pooche shows bad facial swelling, especially around his or her muzzle, redness and/or appears to be scratching at or biting at it's feet, you must move very quickly or the results could be very, very bad.
Don't take ANY chances!
Our advice (unless you're sure you know what you're doing) is to get the dog to the vet ASAP!! You can also ask your vet now about keeping some Benadryl (or the less expensive generic version Diphenhydramine HCl in 25 mg caps) handy in the case of an emergency.
If we see any indication of a yellow jacket sting, e.g., rapidly swelling muzzle and face (like in the pics below), licking feet, etc, we give the dog ONE caplet in a piece of cheese immediately and start watching it carefully, planning a trip to the vet if there's no quick improvement, but you need to be talking to your own vet now.

We're deeply saddened to record the passing of Gabby Mayfield by his momma Mary over in Knoxville, apparently of a brain tumor. Gabby had nearly a year of love from his adopted family after being dumped in the Knox County TN animal shelter.
He was met at the Bridge by Buddy Green Mayfield, Mindy and Mandy Mayfield and a host of friends.
Time for a nap. It takes a lot of energy to be this CUTE! I’m wore slap out!!
Claudia's baby, Mugzy. A sleepy little Boston Baby.

Here's a couple pics of Ellie Justice, a special little Bostonian who's gone to the Bridge and is waiting, about as patiently as a Boston can wait for her parents.
Isn't she a sweetie?
They miss her terribly.
Happy Birthday Dolly Marie !!!!!!
Here is Queen Bee and her birthday attire. She loved PetSmart especially the birds and free cookies.
She got her nails painted for free because it was her birthday.
You should have seen her eyeing this poodle like “piff you are ugly you fluffy white cotton ball, this is all Boston Beauty Baby!”
Laura Myers has sent us a video of her kid. Getting up in the morning can be a little hard for all of us........... including Fidget
A note to Betsy in Henry County, GA....
I just wanted to send some photo's of Newman since it's been a
while since
we adopted him from you.....he's such a joy to have in our household! We
love him so much! As you can see in one of the photos, we have three
Boston's now.. They are our children. :-)

A new pic from Ron's sneaky cam from Stone Mountain. Wonder where the rest of them are?

Donna has sent some new winter pics of her kids including one of Abby, Brody & Lexi sitting in a dog bed next to her desk. Huh???
What is that directly below? A Boston?

We lost a great rescuer this past month (Feb 2010), Shari Johannes of Dog Pack Rescue in Northern Georgia. That's Shari at the bottom, purple shirt.
Dog Pack Rescue won Pedigree Shelter of the Year
There was surely a lot of joy when Shari got to the Bridge.

Annie and Murray's momma is a professional photographer. Annie is a perfect Bostonian. Murray is a stinker. Do your eyes a favor and follow these.......

Enos A Mayfield has been adopted and joined the rest of the Mayfield clan in Knoxville. He's a cute little guy although he came with at least one cherry eye, not a big deal. One's fixed, the other, well, we'll see if it needs fixing.
These are the first pics, some provided by the good folks who took him in (he'd been dumped) and called us. We're sure we'll get some better ones soon.

Mr. Casey James has been adopted and has moved to Snellville, GA, thinking a bit we're told about being a school teacher.
Casey has a little buddy named Remi, a Cocker Spaniel and we're hoping soon to get some good pics of the family.
Note that Casey still has his little "spot" something you don't always see when they grow up to be BIG KIDS, but real Boston people always notice. ;-)
We're very pleased to announce that Preston Patron, aka Hobo has been adopted and has moved to Dillon, SC with his daddy Tony and Sadie, a border collie mix. Tony says Sadie is a real sweetheart.
Looks like a LOT of real wild excitement with this crew. Even the "horse" is taking a nap.
Preston said:
Bella Rose Clark
It's with a heavy heart that I must tell you we lost on Saturday. She had obviously lived a hard life being used to produce puppies over and over again. I hoped to find her the loving, safe home she deserved where she'd forever be happy, spoiled and pampered.
I guess her little heart just worn out. She was a sweet, kind, gentle
little soul that I'll love and remember always.

Rescue a Boston Terrier
Donna Clark at Cartersville
This is little Beans McCoy, dumped at the Fayetteville, TN Animal Shelter because he had cancer.
His Guardian Angel Melody took care of him 'till the end.
Don't worry little man, nobody's going to forget you.

Well, there's a new kid in town up in LaFollette and it's Charley's kid Iche Ban. "Itchy" is a one year old Boston kid who's full of vinegar but likes to sit with Charley (I'm told) out in the garage area.
Here's the kid, Charley's new son. ;-)
Well, a new member of the Moody household and her name is Phoebe.
Isn't she pretty? Somebody said she looked like a greyhound!!!!!! Her momma's name is Fran and Fran is very proud of her new baby Bostonian.

South Carolina baby Sami Lee has been adopted and her new mamma's name is Jane. Jane loooooooves Sami and she's taking very good care of her.
The pics below aren't the best (Sami looks kinda like a "squirrel") but we're hoping that Jane is going to send us some better, real soon.

It's never good for old dogs this time of the year for some reason. You have to be at least certain age to notice it seems.
Lulu Loy was dumped at the Somerset Shelter in KY, not very old but suffering from GME, a brain disorder with a poor outcome. She really couldn't walk very well, probably why see was dumped.
Nonetheless, Aunt Diane said "here's what you do, we'll keep her happy and comfortable for as long as she has."
Lulu passed away in my lap as the others quietly watched, last week. She wasn't here but about three weeks but we celebrate her happy little self. She too is part of the permanent staff here now.

Rocky Weezer Gupton
Weezer showed up at Whispering Ways Farm about 8 months ago, a beaten down little old man dumped in JC Shelter by a loser. He could hardly walk, just a sad little sack without much of a future.
Hannah took him in, called us. Eight months passed and Rocky Weezer changed a few lives, a very special little guy.
He's now watching over his new family.
Katie's Lesson to Remember
When I arrived at my permanent home, I was soooo scared. My Dad held me and put my bed right by his chair in his office. Soon I had him wrapped around my cute little paw. Its been 3 years now and I have been very happy! In November I got a urinary track infection and when Dad took me to the vet they said I had low protein levels in my blood. Two weeks later my protein was even lower. The vet said they were going to cut me open and take out portions of my gut to biopsy. My Mom who loves me too, was very worried and called Uncle Joe. He said, "Get a second opinion... Don't let them cut her open!". The second vet said my protein levels were coming up a little but that my heart rate was slow.
Mom and Dad live in MI but we all head on down to FL for the winter. When we got there, Dad had my blood checked again. My proteins were up a bit but my heart rate was down to 42 BPM. I had 2 EKGs and the vet said I had a 3rd degree AV heart blockage. She said I needed a pace maker. Mom and Dad drove 4 hours with my brother, Major, to Auburn University, AL. They had to leave me there for 3 days. Mom says that one night they called and said that there was no hope for me. My heart was too damaged for a pace maker. I think they cried. Uncle Joe told Mom to ask more questions. Mom didn't know what to ask but my resident vet asked an animal cardiologist the right questions. She said she had seen this exact situation and a pace maker will let my heart heal and my protein levels will come back up! Mom danced! I got my pace maker and being a Boston, I was kind of cranky for a few days but it has been two weeks and I am feeling much better! I go for short walks and love laying in the sun!

Grandpa’s Happy Ending After All
Life throws you changes for a reason and we have to go with the flow. The other day my life changed again but this was a good change. I was adopted by my foster Momma Marlana. Who would have thought an ole dog like me would life love again, but it is possible! I was lying in her lap as she read this poem on the BTR ET page and she started crying. She lifted me up and said “I knew you were here for a purpose, Tracy sent you and this is your forever home now Grandpa!”
And that is my happy ending, I can say my name is Xavier Grey
Anderson aka Grandpa and I am adopted. I am loved and I have a forever home. I
wish you all the same in duplicate.
Love
Xavier Grey Anderson

Dear Joe
Thanks

Mr. Trevor Cook's family has sent us some new pics of daddy, sister Boo and Mr. Special himself.
Looks like everybody's doing just fine.

Petey Cottontail Baker
I took my last ‘bolt’ out early this morning; I’ve been looking towards the bridge now for some time, and I’ve been truly blessed by the comforts provided me at Boston Farms. It just seems my body's been failing me, so when I got a good look at the Bridge, you might say it took my breath away!
They held me comfortably, as I eased away from the worldly troubles I’ve endured, like so many before me; my life changed dramatically there with care and sanctuary. They even overlooked my faults. I’m so grateful for the comforts, and I pain no more.
My heart breaks now only for the doggies that are turned away by man, and like many raindrops only a few fall on the hands of a rescuer.
My gratitude is everlasting; I know you sensed that in my calmness as my being was fading. I was truly lost and scared, before you took me in; I dreamed someone would help me, so by any standard I’ve been in heaven long before today.
That last little bark was my salute to rescue, and my last earthly family.
All my love,
Petey Baker, part of the family

Well, here's Charlie Beaseley. He's a cute little weenie and Charlie lives in Harriman, TN. Charlie's momma is looking for a little brother for Charlie.
Black Jack lives in Harriman too. His daddy cooks his meals for him. Being a Boston usually means getting spoiled.

Mr. Sam Bell has been adopted and joins his new brother Beau in Alexandria, VA where he's thinking about just hanging out for a while. His bro Beau was adopted from Old Dominion Boston Terrier Rescue so it's a "rescue family."
Here's Sam and Beau, and a pic of their daddy too, on a snow trot.

Grandpa’s Story
By: Xavier Grey aka Grandpa
And that is where my story begins, in December 2009 I came to
a foster home called The Sanctuary in Southwest Virginia. I had been living in
Maryville Tennessee with Joe and all the other kids. One day in December the
house was all in an up roar because someone was visiting. And before I knew what
was happening I was scooped up and was in a car going to a new home. It was a
long ride so I took a nap most of the way there. When we arrived I found myself
being sniffed and knocked around by some other dogs. That is not uncommon for me
I am small and old.
Then I was picked up and set on a soft pillow with a blanket
that was nice after a long ride. I went to sleep again and woke up to the sound
of food hitting the bowls. I was scared and did not know how to find the dinner
area. But I was picked up by two hands and put in front of my bowl. The food was
good and I had plenty to eat. After dinner I tootled back into the living room
trying to find my pillow when those same to hand picked me up and put me in a
warm lap. Those two hands were those of my foster Mom Marlana, she started
rubbing and scratching all those nice places. She started talking to me about
where I was and who all the other doggies are. She told me I am one of seven
living here and we are a fun bunch of misfits.
Parker Baker
Our old friend and Home check partner fell into severe Congestive Heart Failure, and Kidney complications.
Parker was another ‘rough ‘case when we got him from N GA a couple of years ago. We nursed him back to health had an eye removed and remedied his skin infections. He got to re-enjoy life again and went on countless Home Visits with Uncle Ron.
It seemed luck came to him a couple saw him during their visit and ‘had to have him’, after 6 months they lost interest in him, kept him caged for the larger part of 6 more months, then notified us “they didn’t want him any more."
He had bent the wires in the crate and made his face and side raw from cage abrasion. My guess is he was let out no more than twice a day. He regressed in terms of his skin condition. It was apparent that treatment aggravated his kidney function and severe Congestive heart failure.
Some very good friends of ours had taken him as their permanent foster, saw him through to the final moments yesterday.
As hard as we try, we do once in a while make a bad adoption. I beg that Parker has forgiven me, in these last days. I have no doubt as he agonized in that crate for six months; that he wondered how someone who had saved him once, could have forsaken him to such betrayers of man’s best friend.
If we seem to take applications and candidates for our kids a lot more determinedly, a lot more intently, a lot more solemnly than most might expect, Parker and all the others like him is the reason.

Here are a couple more pictures of Trooper having fun in the
snow. He loves to go out on the deck and play “soccer” with his blue ball no
matter what the weather, so I put his coat on and let him rumble. I ordered the
coat from FBRN after the day of Chuck It snow play because he just got too cold
for my liking. He didn’t care about the cold but I did! The picture of
him in bed with his duck was taken not long after he came in from the deck and
got dry and warm. We all need a good nap after all that wet, cold fun!
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
Pam

Katie Berens has a little heart problem. In fact, she has a couple problems but she's getting ready to be fitted with a pace maker. Her problems were diagnosed routinely and after getting some tests run, she's going to be a much happier little girl. If that's possible.
We're very pleased to announce that Mr. Billy Dozer has been adopted and has moved to Fairfield Glade, TN where he's going into rescue himself with Wags and Whiskers.
Billy is a sweet little guy who was dumped in Cookeville TN by some losers heading back to New Jersey or somewhere. Billy wasn't allowed to get onto the bus headed "home" but he's MUCH happier now.
His momma Lynne loves him.
This is Buddy Nichols and his two buds. Sometimes, like any kids, they like to switch places. It's kinda like swapping clothes. Buddy's not too sure about it but they ARE his family and you KNOW how that is with family.
We have some recent pics of the beautiful Wen Li who lives now very happily in Baltimore, MD with her sweet momma Ahleah. Wenny came from a very, very bad situation in Soddy Daisy, TN but she's grown to be a beautiful little Bostonian lady.
She wants to say HI to the nice family in Soddy Daisy who took her in and called rescue. She's forever grateful.

It is with a very heavy heart that I am letting all of you know that Georgee passed away this morning. I had so much optimism and good hopes for little Georgee after he made it through the extremely risky vena caval surgery, but apparently there was just way too much damage to his tiny heart.
He was such a darling, sweet little guy. It breaks my heart to lose him after he fought so hard to make it. He was very much loved by all of us here, and I will miss him immensely. Thank you to everyone who so kindly opened their hearts and wallets at such a bad time of year - the holidays - and with the economy being in the state it is.

Pam Trent sent us a pic of Mr. Trooper.
Here is Trooper with his Chuck It having fun in the snow. At least somebody at my house enjoys it!
Too much rain (or snow). Time for springtime. :-)

Hello.
My name is Tux Jarboe and I live in Knoxville, TN. I'm just a baby Boston Terrier and this is my big buddy behind me.
I am Tux's mommy and we love him so much, he is our baby.
Melissa
We have some new pics of Annie and Murray and we're told that (Paddy) Murray is doing VERY well although still emitting the strange, weird sounds that he is so well known to make.
Annie doesn't care though. She just loves him.

We have some new pics of Roxy and some of her kids. Roxy lives in Florida now but does a LOT of travelling. The kids have surely grown up, momma dog.
That's Roxy at the bottom.

Here's the happiest little guy in Gray, TN this morning, Mr. Hershel Ray who was adopted this week by his new momma Sue and his new little brother, Jackson, a Shih Tzu, who hasn't quite figured what being a Boston is all about.
Hershel had been waiting a long, long time after being found wandering around a school yard in Loudon TN, apparently dumped there by a loser who no longer wanted him.
Things have changed for the little man, for sure. We're hoping that Sue will be sending us some more pics of Hershel. He's such a little sweetheart and the other kids miss him.

Mr. Freeway has been adopted and has moved to Sugar Hill, GA where he's going into the equipment rental business with his daddy.
Freeway was found dumped on an interstate. His fortune has taken a turn for the better, for sure.
We're hoping for new pics.

Mr. Trevor Cooke has been adopted and moved to Knoxville with momma and dad and little sis Boo Boo.
He's now a very happy little guy (although always shy, always very cautious) and we're hoping for some pics as soon as possible.
Mr. Morgan Seymour, aka "Morgan the Sneaky" has moved to Unicoi, TN to rejoin his long time buddy Walter Billy Johnson. There'll be stick carrying ceremony this spring for the celebration.
Morgan has bro's also Bugsy Three and Billy. We really hated to see Morgan leave but everybody knows he's very, very happy now.

We're very pleased to announce the adoption of Riley Raine Clark and his move to Acworth, GA where he's going to take very good care of his new momma Shandelle. He is the ultimate "lap dog."
We're hoping for some new pics soon.

Marlana has sent us a couple new pics of Grandpa from the Sanctuary...
Today is a very sad day in Maryville, we lost Rocky "Rockman"
Rocky is one of the founding fathers of this rescue and was around 10-11 years old.
He will be greatly missed but we will feel his touch again and again. Rocky is one of the 'big guys" and he's keeping his eye on things.

We have some recent adoptions to announce that we are VERY proud of:
First, Mr. Topper Baker has been adopted and has moved to Hickory NC to help take care of the family there along with Garfield (the thankless cat). Topper is a very handsome little man and is thinking about a career in Law Enforcement.

~
Next, Miss Patsy Belle has been adopted and is now living in Horn Lake, MS. Her new dad Jeff says she's a little sweetheart. We're hoping for some new pics when Jeff can get around it.

~
Next, Mr. Super Dave Osborne has been adopted and this little guy now lives in Lawrenceville, GA where he's thinking about the Internet Security business when he grows up. That's what his momma Jennifer does and she's really good at it according to Super Dave.
We're hoping for some new pics.

~
And lastly for this group of kids, Peanut Po was adopted yesterday and has moved his small self to Marshall, North Carolina. Peanut was very happy to meet his new parents, Susie and Dwight and they were a family immediately.
Susie even brought some dog biscuits which joe thought nobody would notice as he discretely tossed them on the table. Sometime during the night tho, they disappeared.
We're hoping for more pics soon and Peanut's brother Foxie said to say HI Peanut buddy!!!

Please pass my gratitude on to the current owners of Suds. We
are pleased to know that they fell madly in love with Suds and that Suds
presented the true Bostonian manor to his owners and inspired them to contact
you. It is addicting in a way to "rescue", rather than buy their next
baby. If you have one Boston, then you must have two...for twice the pleasure!
We are glad to see a healthy looking Sudsy. Knowing that they saved a Boston
then maybe they passed the knowledge on to others to rescue or help a rescue. I
know that I am a better person inside for our rescues!
Our Sweet Pea continues to be a presence in our life & we miss her terribly.
We have sence rescue a red miniature female dachshund after the debacle from
trying to save the male Boston in Sept. Skeeter has gained proper weight and
overcame her bout with kennel cough. She and Sammy are great playmates.
I still continue to keep my eyes open to help save another Boston in need. The
Bostons have a great support group VERY eager to help at the drop of a hat!
Our best to Suds and family!
Thank you Joe for helping my heart to mend. Suds means a lot to our family.
Let me know if I can help form Delaware.
Pam
Snow comes to Georgia and to the Nichols family. Here's Buddy Nichols and his sibs playing in the funny looking, funny tasting, funny smelling (especially if Buddy was just there) white stuff.
We're so sorry to hear of the passing of Harvey Gisch, aka "Thor" in Memphis. His daddy Jeff misses him badly.

We always say he's "the bomb". (Wonder why?)
He loves to snuggle and lets you know pretty quickly if you are not touching him. You're ALWAYS supposed to be touching him. Max loves to go anywhere although he's about given up his football career.
Now he's got a little sister to keep an eye on.
Ardy and family have a new kid and his name is Major Tator Tot. Major just luves his baby sister Katie.....

A quickie pic of Mr. Paddy Murray and Annie.
All is well.

Meet our rescue Boston, Winston. We got him from Kanine Kids in Atlanta around 3 1/2 years ago.
He is mostly blind now because of advanced cataracts, but he still leads a happy life with my husband and me in Stone Mountain, GA. In fact, he pretty much rules the roost at our house. His favorite things are car rides and belly rubs, not necessarily in that order!
Winston's momma Betty

We missed a posting of Ringo and his family wishing Christmas greetings. Here they are, sitting on top of the Top of the World enjoying the view.
Christmas Blessings, Joe, from Mike and Ringo sittin' on top'o the world! Notice the mountain tops below us! Hope you are doing well,

We are VERY happy to announce that Mr. Leo Le has been adopted and the little man has moved to Pennsylvania to live with his momma Olivia and Aunt Emily.
He's doing fine and we're expecting some new pics of the little man.

A note from BoGee's momma Cat:
He doesn’t like the cold or the snow for obvious reasons, but he loves to cuddle and sit in front of the fire. He’s taken a strong liking to bath time and still loves giving kisses. He’s a total mama’s boy and I’m so lucky to have such a little angel!
He’s so great! He’s gotten a lot better with people although sliding glass doors are still a problem but we’re working on it. He likes time by the fire and LOVES peanut butter in his kong. The walks are pretty short right now during winter but he gets a lot of excersize chasing after toys in the hallway. He does a good 7-8 runs up and down and then is panting and ready to cuddle.

Cat - BoGee's momma
In memory of Samantha and Andy Griffin and their family
Samantha and Andy knew they were loved, everyone that was around them knew they were spoiled rotten. I was always so proud to take them places with me, they were so well behaved. I realize that some of the rescues might have behavioral problems, due to the abuse and neglect.
That's one reason I like to watch the tv show "It's Me or the Dog". Victoria Stilwell makes it aware to everyone, it's not just the animals habits that need to change, most of the time it's the owner that needs training.
Tim

Miss Tunie Petunia has also been adopted in Florida, the sunshine state. We'll have a little more on that shortly. ;-)
Mr. Paddington Murry has been adopted and has moved to Virginia with his new parents and little sister Annie. Paddy is on the left, Annie, being very coy is on the right. She's still not completely sure about Paddington.
Just wait 'till he starts making those weird little noises and howls, that's when she'll REALLY start wondering about his small self.

We're saddened at the news that Frank's Dee Dee has passed away after a short illness.
Dee Dee had just celebrated her 13th birthday on November 1st with her usual Pumpkin Custard treat.

Dear Uncle Joe, That day when you sent Momma Marlana to Morristown to save us was the day our lives changed for the better. We went from Death Row doggies to a home filled with love. We thought we would just do our time here will we are adopted or took our walk over the Rainbow Bridge. We love living here with Momma, Nanna and the other doggies. We thought our lives could not get any better, but we were wrong! Momma Marlana decided last week to up the ante, guess what Uncle Joe?
Momma Marlana has decided to adopt me and Daisy Ann, we are going to be staying here at the Sanctuary forever. Momma sprung the news over Thanksgiving Dinner. We were so excited we forgot to eat our turkey. Daisy Ann and I can never begin to thank you and the rescue for sending Momma to us. We now have everything a dog could ask for; we have a forever home and a family of our own. We are looking forward to our first Christmas together. We already have our own stockings and presents under the tree.
Sincerely, Emma Leigh and Daisy Ann Anderson
Sanctuary Pups

Hello my name is Pogo Rose, I am a resident at the Boston Terrier Sanctuary in Coeburn Virginia. I was given to the Boston Terrier Rescue of East TN by my family in September 2009 to live out my final years. I was not a bad dog; I was just not wanted any longer.
I was sent to a woman named Marlana to live with her till the day I hopefully get adopted. Shortly after arriving at the Sanctuary I had to undergo eye surgery to remove my infected eye. Momma Marlana nursed me back to health and made me feel loved again. I have made 2 great friends here their names are Emma and Daisy. I like living here, but something was missing. I wanted a home and family of my own again.
I went to bed every night wishing a family would adopt me; I was starting to give up hope. Not many people will give an 11 year old blind dog a chance. But I was wrong, Momma Marlana is adopting me. She said she fell in love with that day I was put in her arms off the transport truck, love at first sight. She said she loves me even if I cannot see, even if I bump into stuff. She loves me for being just who I am her little "Pogo-rella". I went from losing the only family I ever knew to getting a new one with a brother and 3 sisters. I now have a Momma who loves me and tell me so every day. I do not have to be afraid anymore, I can just be me.
My life is a good one now and I was "found" when I needed you the most.
Love and Kisses
Pogo Rose Anderson
Dear Taryn,
Sprint crossed the
His back injury was such that he wouldn't be able to
withstand the heartworm treatment and the treatment for demodex that he would
need. They felt he was suffering and we should do the humane thing for
him and let him go.
All of us are very upset over losing him and wish there was
more we could have done. He will always have a special place in our
hearts.
Betsy Myers, North Carolina Boston Terrier Rescue

We're very pleased to announce that Miss Jelly Bean has gone home with her momma Lorinda in Knoxville and is going to be a Petsmart baby Boston Terrier.
She's such a pretty little girl. We're hoping for more pics soon.

Hi Joe,
Here are some 2009 pictures of the big boy. He has
really come into his own. I thought he was settled right off the bat but
over the past 6 months or so Mr. Louden has reached an all new level of comfort.
He is king of the house. He and Brandi play, sleep and hang out all the time.
They are best buddies and he has been a great calming influence on her very
nervous personality. He has decided to become very vocal and is getting us
trained to every little whimper, boof and bow wow. He is improving on
using the bathroom on command rather than sniffing the flowers and chasing
butterflies when we go out. He is extremely responsive to positive reinforcement
and an extremely gentle vocal correction is all he needs on the rare occasion.
He’s such a good boy.
He goes walking with us, he’s been to the beach and we took
him out on the lake for the first time this summer. I was convinced that
as solid as he is that he would sink like a stone. Luckily he didn’t but
he does prefer the land or boat much more than the wet stuff.
His eye has improved greatly. The vet said it would never clear up but thank the good lord it has. We’ve been medicating him every day and there is only a few small ‘flecks’ of the keratitis visible now. Yea! He is headed to the vet at the end of the week to get his shots and his annual exam.
Take care and have a wonderful Thanksgiving,
April, momma to Lord Mercury Louden and Brandi
